Ever noticed how many manhole covers litter the pavement? This morning on my 1,6 km morning commute jog, I counted no less than 215 boring grey manhole covers! In comparison, the above Japanese manhole covers are so much more interesting.

Ahh... manhole covers: the bane of a motorcyclist's life! And they're always right where you need to be on a corner or bend - dead tricky when it's wet.
ReplyDeleteIf you're out running on the pavement they can be tricky, too, as they can make the pavement uneven. Not helpful when you're running in the dark!
